Donation of Computers – Nana Sewana
Extending our helping hand for the budding future of our own country, The Rotaract Club of University Alumni (RCUA) successfully completed our first-ever project for the year 2016-17 by handing over four computers to the Thiniyawala Madya Maha Vidyalaya received by a donor organization.
The project which comes under the avenue: 'community service' was successfully held on the 8th of October 2016, enlightening the very future of our very country, since it is one of our foremost priorities and concerns to help educate the less privileged students and to leverage the use of computers and laptops especially among students who have less access to empower themselves with the ongoing dynamism of the world in an electronic era like today.
Thiniyawala Madya Maha Vidayalaya in Neluwa is an underprivileged school with an IT lab with the bare minimum needed to conduct lessons in IT. Noting this, our club retrieved a few good condition computers that were to be replaced at a private institution and handed it over to the school. We hope to continue in helping the school in the purchase of a multimedia as well, since we always advocate that knowledge is power and it is our duty to help those innocent souls of our nation to achieve it at their best.
